Ah the team payroll for current team record isnt impressive and look at loser Wastefield distracting a team that is drowining by trying to save a fat old pitcher who for over 2 years cant tread water. -

Finally, I get it. The Sox didn't get to the playoffs last year because of Ellsbury's trip to Arizona. It was a major distraction. He shoulda stayed with the team like Pedroia did. And here I thought it was because he, Pedroia, Youkilis, and Varitek, to say nothing of assorted pitchers, were injured.
If Wakefield is indeed a distraction for these Sox, they all suffer from attention deficit disorder.
Wakefield is a spare part who right now, despite his well known and often stated shortcomings, has to be used. Last night Miller gave up 5 runs in 5 innings, and the bullpen 2 more for a 7-4 loss while Pedroia, Ortiz, and Youkilis all went hitless. Are you saying they couldn't hit Romero because of Wakefield? I thought it was that nasty changeup. -
