The Question John Henry Fears The Most

"Mr. Henry, how do you rate Larry Lucchino's performance over the past few years?"That's why Henry won't come out of hiding to take any Qs about the Sox. LL is clearly responsible for this mess, and it ain't Ben, and it ain't Theo, and it ain't Bobby, who's the problem. Now let's see if the Sox act like every other busines with incompetent leadership, and circle round the wagons. -

I said this same thing on another thread a couple of weeks ago. Henry should buy out Lucchino and sell that share to Dan Duquette. -

He worries about nothing w/ the Sox. They are a money making machine good or bad. -

On a serious note. Larry Lucchino for Dan Duquette. Make it happen Mr. Henry. -

Dan Duquette was definitely an underrated GM here. Once John Harrington allowed Duquette to spend money, the pride of Amherst did an excellent job of assembling a roster. He knew whom to "overpay" (Pedro Martinez and Manny Ramirez), and put together some great benches and bullpens on the cheap. I miss him. -

Did anyone notice the 3 Stooges sitting together?
When Ross knocked in Pedroia, only Henry was cheering.
Werner looked like he was in a stupor, and Lucchino looked
angry.
These guys started out great, Somewhere along the line, winning became secondary to milking every dollar out of any and all revenue sources.
Lucchino may be a wiz at marketing the team, but he's hurt the baseball side of things over the years. -

Yeah, Lucchino is a marketing whiz. He sold us bricks, CDs, um, sellout streaks.Get him a job at a PR agency. Bring in a baseball guy to run the team.Problem is, the guys at the top never fire each other. In Henry's case, that would be admitting that he let a fool run the team down the drain. So LL won't get fired -- we'll just plod along with his mess. Until they, Please God, sell the team.Meanwhile, we got drama. Wonder who the next manager will be? -

The question he fears most?
Anything having to do with on-the-field baseball.
Or, someone asking him if he remembers what a scarf is, and where said item could potentially be purchased. -

The thing that worries John Henry most is that his Liverpool soccor will go belly up and all his racing cars will crash and burn.
Memo to John Henry, when their is no longer any interest in the Sox, then it's time to sell. One billion plus dollars should keep you warm at night and allow you to sign the latest soccor in Europe[whom ever he is], and buy you better cars for Greg Biffle. -

Posted by donrd4Listen, these guys want to run the team like a busines, right? OK, then let's measure them that way.How many years since the Sox, with one of the buggest payrolls in baseball, have won a post season game? Injuries are part of the busines. Every team has 'em. So is picking good talent. So is motivating players. The team is a failure, by any measure. Guy in charge is Lucchino. Not Werner, or Ben, or Theo, or Bobby. -

donr44 must be Henry's wife.
In case you haven't noticed, Mrs. H, it's more than signing ONE player who didn't work out. It's:
Lugo
Rentaria
Clement
Dice K
Jenks
Drew
Crawford
Lackey
and extending
Gonzalez
Beckett
Whole lot of money down the drain. -
