    The Return of Bobby V.

NEW YORK (AP) — Former Mets manager Bobby Valentine will be a pregame and postgame analyst for 12-15 of New York’s telecasts on cable channel SNY this season.
The network said Thursday that Valentine will work Monday’s opener against San Diego with Bob Ojeda and Chris Carlin. Valentine was an analyst for ESPN in 2011.

around this part of the season last year (end of ST) how many controversies did BV create?? 4? 5?

now, with Farrell at the helm, how many controversies have we had? none.

they didn't speak english. plus i've noticed with people learning secondary languages they tend to be more direct and don't give you the run-around as much.. so maybe that was the case with BV speaking japanese?

The worst thing about being a Mets fan is that there isn't even any hope on the horizon.  Everything since the Johann acquisition has pretty much blown up in their faces, and their farm system seems to be devoid of any potential stars.

Remy and Orsillo are better and it's not even close.

Unless you like McCarver treating you like you've never seen a baseball before.

Well, I'm old enough to remember Curt Gowdy calling Red Sox games. I guess I got spoiled in my youth. And you're of course right about how bad McCarver and Morgan were. I can get a little hyperbolic sometimes.

Disagree, Remy & Orsillo are almost as bad as Suzyn Waldman & John Sterling, who really treat their listeners like they know nothing. To quote Stirling, who judges a fly ball so well .. "It is high, it is far, it is caught".  And Newton born Waldman who is politically correct, in a nauseous way, "Oh my goodness gracious"

That was the basis for the Waldman quote; but what gets me about Stirling is how he has  to explain every inane thing over & over; and for a guy who's done this for as long as he has, it's amazing how little this homerish yahoo actually knows.

Even the New York media & WFAN (including Francesa) makes fun of them.

To Waldmans credit, she stood up to Francesa for constantly using that audio. According to her, he promoised to stop, then used it the next day, and since
