    The secret to Colon's success?

    http://riveraveblues.com/2011/05/mlb-to-investigate-colon-procedure-48001/

Like many other past Yankee "greats", it appears Bartolo Colon may have been getting some extra help.   This come as no surprise.  How long until there are similar revelations about Curtis Granderson, who was in decline the last few years, but now leads the majors in homers.

This will open the door to many other MLB players to consider this treatment protocol...HGH is banned...

Not too worried, Zac, a long ways to go yet.

Getting to .500 would be a good start for me, in spite of what tito says about it.

True-Acumen, you are wrong about Granderson being in decline the last few  years.  Here are his HR totals: 2004 0, 2005 8, 2006 19, 2007 23, 2008 22, 2009 30, 2010 24.  So as you can see he has been very consistant with the last two seasons being his best HR seasons, so how can he be on the decline if his last two seasons were his highest HR totals and this season will also be one of his highest HR totals............that definately doesn't sound like being in decline.

Nothing surprises me anymore. Bartolo Colon pitching like Nolan Ryan. Granderson hitting home runs like Babe Ruth. Batista went through 5 clubs in two seasons and he is bahing home runs like no tomorrow. Five clubs missed on this guy ? Please. Nothing surprises.

AL34 cmon.....Colon is hardly Nolan Ryan and Granderson is hardly Babe Ruth....Bautista is a completely different story and has had far more success than the 2 Yankees you mentioned.  Its apples and oranges.

The only one that I am certain that is using PED's is YOU.  It takes superhuman strength for you to create all these screenames and type the endless garbage that you spew.

First of all, Colon hasn't been shown to be cheating - yet that is. If HGH was involved, then he was cheating and should be disciplined; if not, they may need to make a new policy/ruling on whatever procedure he had as to whether it was legit or not.

And, does Granderson have a steroid type body? According to the RS cranks here, either he's washed up or he's on steroids. You sound like one of those Celtic fans who complains that they lost to the Heat because the refs were cheating.

Also, any fan that thinks that bending the league rules regarding PED use can be stereotyped by team ought to have their head examined.

Thanks J-Bay; considering how your namesake's doing you might want a new ID, LOL. It looks like Theo was right; I personally think that now he has that big contract, he doesn't give a cr-p. Maybe I'll get that blackbelt; in my dreams.

I wasn't aware that HRs is what baseball is all about, especially when we are talking about swings of 7-11 per year.

    How about OBP:
    '08 .365
    '09 .327
    '10 .324

    How about OPS:
    '08 .858
    '09 .780
    '10 .792

    K rate:
    20.1% > 22.3% > 24.9% > 26.2%

    UZR/150
    +7.8 /> +9.8> +13.6 > +14.5 > -11.9 > -1.3 > +6.4

Why would the doctor inject more fat cells into Colon?

Tonight Girardi is pulling a Coma routine and I am not happy at all. Why give the opponents an eight run handicap before the fifth inning when you have such a great explosive offense? It makes no sense to me. Don't you play to win each game?
