So Theo, still under contract, walks away and takes someone with him, and we don't even get a top prospect in return? What happened to all that leverage we were supposed to have?

My guess is that the Cubs owner frequented this forum during the last several years and found just how inept that the guitar boy, boy wonder, and overrated GM was. He valued everyone's opinion here and is now acting accordingly. Rumors are that a contingent of the Cubs management team were at BDC headquarters last week and were seen giving a lawyer from Beacon Hill a box of cigars.
