They can not hit good pitching

Two losses against Royals and tonight, they scored a total of 6 runs in three games. They can pile up a bunch of runs against average pitching. Their own pitching is not that impressive.

True but still better than the Yankees who can not even hit average pitching.  Moever throwing Sutton, Navarro, McDonald out there with Reddick on a regular basis is simply stupid.  Reddick is the only one who should be given a chance at this point in the season.

I guess you mean a decent team plus great pitching.  They just took care of Felix Hernandez last week.  Whoops.

An interesting series: three No. 5 starting pitchers and no David Ortiz

They need a lot of offense to win these games. AGon had better wake up. 1 for 17 is .059, much lower than DMac's .140, Yuk!!!

WELL. REDDICK IS BEGINNING TO SHOW HE CANNOT HIT THE]
CURVE BALL AND IS SHOWING A TENDENCY TO CHASE PITCHES
OUT OF THE ZONE LIKE HE DID WHEN HE CAME UP FROM
PAWTUCKET. YOUK'S ACT AT THE PLATE, JUMPING OUT OF
THE WAY AT STRIKES GETS UMPS ANNOYED AT HIM , AND
THEY WILL RING HIM UP FOR SPITE, EVEN THO FLOYD'S
K OF YOUK WITH THE BASES LOADED WAS RIGHT OVER THE
PLATE. YOUK'S ACT IS GETTING A BIT OLD. CRAWFORD
STUNK AS USUAL, AND SCUTARO DID TOO....WHAT ELSE IS
NEW. SO WITH AGON OUT OF THE LINEUP, THE SOX REALLY
DO STINK , OFFENSIVELY. IF ELLS AND PEDEY DON'T GET ON,
CHANCES ARE, THE SOX WILL LOSE, AND THEY DID.

For some strange reason the Sox are having trouble in that "Crummy" Central Division... Good thing We are in the "Tough" Eastern Division !! Remember the last two times the Sox have missed the playoffs they were below .500 against the Central... we are now at .500, 12-12 !!

Are u serious!! are u watching games or just criticizing losses?
Here are some top pitchers we have beat this year or knocked around some.

    4/10 Sabbathia 4-0
    4/22 Haren 4-3
    4/23 E. Santana 5-0
    5/1  F. Hernandez 3-2
    5/2 J. Weaver 9-5
    5/3 Haren 7-3
    5/14 Sabbathia 6-0
    5/19 Verlander 4-3*
    6/9 Sabbathia  8-3
    6/16 D. Price 4-2
    6/19 Y. Gallardo 12-3
7/15 D. Price 9-6 (red sox loss but still got to Price)
    7/16 Shields 9-5
    7/22 Hernandez 7-4
*= opposing pitcher did not take loss

Red Sox have beaten Sabbathia 3 times, King Felix 2, and Haren 2 times thus far....  Seems to me we can hit good pitching, u cant expect us to put up 10 runs on these types of pitchers, that's why they are considered good pitchers!

Isn't that why most "good" pitching is "good," no one is hitting it?

Yes, this frequently-used criticism by many who feel insightful ranks up there with "This team can't win unwnnable games!"

They lead the league in offense I think...I don't know, you'd think the Sox were the banjo singles hitters of the early 1990s teams the way people describe Sox offense now.

We've beaten about every good SP in BB this year.

Don't take this personally, but you're a really dopey SOB.  I don't want that to sound mean, but I didn't want you walking around without knowing that.

That's LoveSox, a guy pretending to be a female. Obviously, another alias since I don't believe anyone just comes to a message board to make one post over and over.

There's been a couple of "Celtics fans" here starting negative threads. If you read thier profile, their comments on the Celtics' board are negative as well.

Yes the Sox struggle against good pitching often, BUT WHO DOESN'T?????  that's why they are GOOD PITCHERS.

While the Sox have struggled against good pitchers this year, they have also had their moments when they have torn up good pitching...this is afterall the best offensive team in the league.  Even then, they are going to be shut down by great pitchers from time to time.
