[QUOTE]Love the Joe Pesci Snickers commercial they keep showing on MLBtv, I think it's my favorite of all the Snickers commercials. BTW, that Don Rickles in there? He must be about 200 or so by now right? Good greif, he was in the Twilight Zone 50 years ago.

Sure beats, "Hey, Ump!" but after seeing it a couple of hundred times, it starts to lose its luster.

Hey Tiexiera, here's a tip for shortening tonight's game: If the Red Sox WIN, the game will go only 8.5 innings, hence, shortening it's ultimate length. Go down meekly and quietly in all innings, then you can go home and watch Desperate Housewives or something. Just a thought.....

hi all. what the heck?  y didnt miller start? glad lester shut them down but what happened? saw curtis' catch. y didnt ells do the same yesterday? watching on mlb baseball, miss curt and NOMARRRRRR objectiiive analysis. even better than orsillo and remy.. i digress. ells simply isnt as good at reading and exploding to the ball initially as granderson. he's a gold glover, thats the difference between the 2 playas and may give curtis the MVP edge.

lastly, aceves is an indispensable guy, never have really seen a guy like this on the sox. kind of like a primed scott proctor minus the managerial abuse!

Not one Aceves' stronger outings. He has not been sharp. No excuse to hit that guy.

Yes. I usually at least halfway enjoy the drama. Not tonight, I am not enjoying this game. Want a DP and two more quick innings, get these guys outta town before they wake up.

The pen has been terrific.  Where are all the starters we had?  can any go beyond 5 innings, besides lackey or wakes?  Tito had it right with the muddy chicken in cleanup...other than Papi, Elas and pedey at #180 provide all the power.

Jones and Monterro are the easier outs in this lineup. Aceves was not sharp at all tonight.

now that suks.. y is it aceves' fault that the fat turdd montero wears a big short. reminds me of the guy who got his client off when he pleaded with the jury that he stabbed at his jacket and not his fault it was too flimsy to prevent his heart from getting in the way!

Re: Thursday Game Thread:Yankees at Red Sox

and this was aj  burnett who took yet another loss in his last start at Baltimore, a 12-5 defeat. The last two games are auditions for the fourth spot in the Yankee starting rotation for the playoffs. (i.e hughes or AJ) Jon Lester won his last start in the opener of the rainy doubleheader against Oakland last Saturday, butthrew way too many tosses tonite. By the way, the Red Sox traded Jason Rice to the Oakland Athletics for Conor Jackson. Jackson should provide flexibility for the Sox, as he can play first, corner outfield, and third in a pinch. does that mean that the BRS can let the .195 hitting McDonald go??Wink

I agree, and tito probably had to stay with Josh..as the bull pen is becoming spent -- more so than the rotation

This is bad....I dont blame the pitching for this potential loss. Offense sucked tonite.
