Lavarnway over Salty, also Ross at DH instead of Salty.

A little surprised with a RHP on the mound, that Bobby would go with the Righty Catcher and the Righty DH....would have seen the perfect time to either DH Salty or DH Lava and sit Ross. Maybe Shopp is unavailable and he doesnt want to use both Catchers.

Maybe Bobby V is just as tired of watching Salty strike out as I am :)

I agree though, it seems like there would be another LH bat in the lineup.

You re right that Salty is in a slump.  Got to go with a hot hitters at the same time got to go with a better defensive players on the field.

Re: Thursday Night Game Thread: Twins @ Red Sox

Salty was abysmal last night at the plate.  Plus maybe he didn't frame the pitches too well because at least two of Cook's pitches were well within the strike zone but were called balls.

Six righties starting against a righty tonight--very unusual for Bobby V, who loves to load up with lefties against righties and vice versa.

    Ross should be in RF

If an OF'er needs to be replaced you will lose the DH given we only have 4 OFer

Given one of them is CC and all of them are LH's, the odds are high you may want to replace one of them and then boom - no more DH

I tell you want - this is a nice lesson in the pros and cons of having a perm. DH vs a roving DH.......If you have a roving DH then you need to have the right manager who can handle that situation....
