Goodness. Scutaro at 2B and Lowrie at SS. Just for the sake of these two players, shouldn't it be the other way round? Or is Tito joshing (as in Joshing Reddick) us?

summer, I had the same thought. I think it is a sign that Scutaro's shoulder is NOT 100%. His lollipop throw on the Posada dribbler two nights ago seems to be symptomatic.
It seems that Francona is saying that Lowrie is the better SS, and 2b is a wash or in Scutaro's favor (which I find hard to believe), OR that Scutaro's arm needs protecting by moving him to 2B, much like they did at the end of the season last year. Just my thoughts.

CC's last 4 starts: averaging more than 8 IP each game with a 1.60 ERA and a 4-0 record
Beckett against the Yanks this year: 14 IP, 0 ER, 19 K: 3 BB

I predict that the game will be close, within 2 or 3 runs into the late innings.
I also predict that Wastefield will be eating potato salad, not innings.

The storm just moved through CT and it took about 50 minutes to get mostly through.

in CT the heavy rain/ thunder/lightning lasted an hour. NY forecast 75% chance of rain until 9 pm, 50% until 11 pm.....but theyre expecting to get the game in...just a question of when

The shower must be going through. Hard to believe, it hit 102 today in Newark, a record for 6-9, passing the old one at 99...hot as the red sox are playing. Look for hits from scutaro, cameron...they hit CC well
