Why does a guy like Salty who hits 280+  from left side and 200 or less from right side continue to bat righty.... Thats not a switch hitter thats just plain stupid. Can someone tell him to forget right handed batting.

Salty probably tried that and did worse.

We won't face any lefty starters next series, so Salty will start all the games.

He is just striking out way too much and has been kind of a rally killer.

Is it also time to Bogaerts instead of Drew, Drew has also been slumping has always been just a streaky hitter.

    My lineup would be:

    With Drew:

    Ellsbury

    Victorino

    Pedroia

    Ortiz

    Napoli

    Nava/Gomes

    Middlebrooks

    Drew

    Salty

    With Bogaerts

Same top 7 but Have Salty 8th and Bogey 9th to so if he gets on base have his speed on the bases with more speed coming up.

How much trouble do good hitters like Ortiz and Ellsbury have with lefties?  And they bat that way all the time.  Now you are going to ask Salty to learn to hit major league lefthanders when he probably has never faced so much as a high school lefthander batting from the left side?

Against Detroit, Salty will not face a lefty, unless a RP comes into the game. He could be pinch hit for at that time.

I think JF will start Boggie in at least one game this series.  If only to see how the kid does under pressure to get an idea where he stands.\

Drew hits RH'd pitchers too well to sit.

We have had days off before game 1 and 2 days off within the series. Drew will start all games.

Salty will start all games and never bat 9th.
