Yes...but Coma makes WINNING in baseball even more elusive. If we lose this WC to the Rays, this City will be crushed!

[QUOTE]In Response to Tito needs a week off---the players need to play. : I am actually going to defend Tito on this one. (Note to ardent Francona defenders--some of us who don't think he is a good manager can, and do, come to his defense when it is merited.) At least Gonzo (and I think now Petey) needed a mental day off. The schedule has been grueling lately, he (and others) have been struggling for a while, and the team has been in a slump. No real harm in shaking things up for one game, even if you have to put in the Black Hole that is McDonald. If we don't get some breaks soon on the injury front, we could be in trouble, if not, things will be OK, and of course, the playoffs are a different season, with its own set of good and bad bounces. Baseball is an elusive game.

You don't see Giradi giving Jeter, Cano or Texiera days off. Once you clinch then rest the horses, until then, gitty up.

I don't want Yankee fans to take this the wrong way, or Sox fans who like to compare everything Theo does to Cashman, and everything Tito does to Girardi,
but here's my opinion of worrying about or comparing what the Yanks do to what the Sox are doing: my best impression of Tommy Lee Jones...I don't care. I don't. I don't give flying rat's derriere what the f-ing Yankees do, how they do it, when they do it, when they win, how many they win, who is going to win a MVP, and what day AROD will bring his Blonde Flavor of the Month into the stadium....Enough about the f-ing Tankees. I respect 4 of them, 2 living, 2 dead---Lou Gehrig, Yogi Berra, Derek Jeter, and Jim Catfish Hunter...The rest of them can go to hell.

Take a close look at the Wed. Yank/Balt game--Jeter was the only one that didn't play. Cano, Tex and Grande each had a minimum of 3 trips to the plate including walks).
To me that's totally different than Tito's resting players.

yea but they are 3 games up and playing the orioles...now if the roles were reversed and we were leading and playing the O's, I would not have a problem with that plan for a night but the problem is we have dug ourselves into a hole and we are fighting for our lives in September - all hands on deck..and Dmac should never ever be platooned with CC.....just dumb...play your stars

eating animals will give you cancer/heart disease but it is an biological fact that it enlarged the gray area of our brains and made us smarter...so now we can understand exactly why eating that bloody steak will kill you

Yes, and when you take a closer look you will see that it was the STARTING lineup I was referencing.  They also got 3 AB's by virtue of an 11 inning game.  Spin it however you want.  The statement was made that the Yankees don't put out lineups with 4 of their all-stars sitting on the bench.  The reality is they did just that only two days prior.
