Francona already alluded to this after Youk was activated...

    [QUOTE]Beckett last 4 starts 3-1 4.68 era. 25 innings 25 hits, 4 HRS. Needs a good start today.

No doubt that I want him to have a good start and no doubt that over the course of a season, we'd want him to have a better run than two good starts and two bad starts every four games.

But it is worth nothing that in there was nothing wrong with two of his last four starts. The middle two starts, he went 7 IP, 3 ER (3.85 ERA) and 6 IP, 1 ER (1.29 ERA) for a combined 13 IP, 4 ER, 11 H, 2 BB (1.0 WHIP and 2.77 ERA). And in his last start, it was just that one bad inning where he was a bit unlucky.

Might give Papi some better looks.  Texas and the Yankees were not giving him much to hit at all.  Hope he doesn't feel obligated to pul the ball/muscle up.

I thought I knew Steppenwolf well but I don't remember that album MrMojo! Maybe a re release?

Glad to see Reddick back in the lineup. Hope he's ok.

Maybe they are realizing that Youk is not the force he has been in the past. Still good but not the guy he was. Ortiz has found the fountain of youth and is bashing!

Re: Today's line-up has an interesting change

Hey Boom..... The album cover is actually from 1968.I'll provide a link to the website. The following paragraph is from the Steppenwolf.com website:

    http://steppenwolf.com/i-5096036-steppenwolf-cd.html

"1968—Landmark album that unleashed The Wolf upon the world! Songs: Sookie Sookie, Everybody's Next One, Berry Rides Again, Hootchie Cootchie Man, Born To Be Wild, Your Wall's Too High, Desperation, The Pusher, A Girl I Knew, Take What You Need and The Ostrich."

The cover they show on the website is a little different because it's a CD version of the album. It also added "Featuring the hit Born to be wild".
Pretty cool site if you're interested in Steppenwolf.

It's working really well. 0 Runs and 2 Hits against some 21 year old rookie.

YOU CAN CHANGE THE LINEUP ALL YOU WANT,BUT IT AIN'T
GONNA CHANGE THE RED SOX RESULTS. THEY JUST DON'T
HAVE THE GOODS !! THE YANKEES SCORE RUNS IN HUGE
BUNCHES, LIKE FOR INSTANCE....6 AGAINST THE ORIOLES
ON LABOR DAY IN THE BOTTOM OF THE SECOND. THE SOX,
ON THE OTHER HAND ARE GETTING SHUT DOWN BY A KID
WHO WAS PITCHING IN A BALL THIS SPRING. ADRIAN
GONZALEZ, AS A HITTER, MAY HAVE THE STATS, BUT HE
COULDN'T HOLD ROBINSON CANO'S SHOES AS A VALUED
MEMBER OF THE TEAM. HE DOES ZILCH FOR THE SOX, EVEN
WITH HIS GLORIFIED AVG. YOUKILIS IS EVEN WORSE, AND
CRAWFORD IS THE BIGGEST STIFF OF ALL. MARK MY WORDS,
YANKS WIN THE DIVISION BY EIGHT AND THEO IS GONE
BY OCTOBER, HEADED FOR THE WINDY CITY..AND GOOD
    RIDDANCE !!

Re: Today's line-up has an interesting change

Doesn't matter. The way this team is playing by this time next week Rays and Sox are playing head to head for the wild card. The team is toast. Just saying when you can't hit, can't pitch, and don't try hard while collecting big paychecks you don't win many games.

I know, this is negative, but time to talk realisitc. Sox are in a dive. April size dive.
