    What are your opinions on the NEXT DAY GAMETHREAD that was suggested? Do you think that is will be more civil than the typical gamethread or will it draw the same types that congregate on other gamethreads. I'v seen many such threads on other forums and I stay away from them. It ruins the enjoyment of the ballgame for me. I would think that a thread that critiques the previous night's game would also be unpleasant to read for the same reasons.

    In regards to the play at the plate, I believe that the batter (Esobar) missed the squeeze sign. Davis started coming down the third base line as Lester threw the pitch (low and inside). Escobar didn't swing/protect the runner Salty ran Davis back to third and Youk tagged him out.

    i actually think the ump at third blew the call...i think he got his hand back in...salty looped that ball back to high...break for us

    So true.  Off the bat it seems like a lazy fly ball to opposite field, and before you know it, it's sailing over the fence.  So effortless.

    Back at ya, J-Bay.  I've been avoiding the game threads of late for the obvious reasons.  Too much negativity for me, but I figure as the .500 mark and beyond  become imminent, the whiners and beraters will skulk away.  Otherwise they may have to admit their folly.
