    Victorino

Victorino has been dreadful in the ALCS. Should he be dropped from the top of the order a la Jackson?

    no!!

cuz they have gotten 10 hits each in the last two games...why bother to make a change!!

Game 6 is a critical game for boston cuz they rather to finish off Detriot than worry about playing game 7.  So Farrell isnt going to try to experience with his new line up.

Leyland did it a bit early where his team is down 2-1.  That is why he moved few players around.  But Boston isnt down in the series cuz they are up 3 to 2!!

If you try moving people around, that mean both Victorino and Drew will have to bat in the 8th and 9th spot!

    Forget it

Even though Victorino is struggling badly, there is not reason to fix what is working.

Leave him in the two hole just because he has been there almost all year and the Sox had the most wins in the regular season and are now only one game away from the Series.

despite AJax rebounding in that game...push to shove, Victorino is still a better bet to put a ball in play in a big spot than AJax

Leyland's "shuffling" only worked for one game, and only because Peavy couldn't find the strike zone.

Stop believing those knuckleheads , McCarver and Buck , that somehow Leyland is a genius, the Detroit starters are unbeatable and Cabrera is the greatest hitter ever.

I swear , these guys are in love with Detroit and they never shut their yaps about how "great" this team is.

I had this feel that when the series was 2-2 that the Sox were down in the series , just because the FOX idiots kept waving the Tigers flag and seemed oblivious to the fact that Buchholz and Peavy each had one bad inning....other than that the Red Sox staff was matching the great Scherzer and Verlander and company pitch for pitch , and with a better bullpen behind them.

Put Victorino last and move everyone else up besides Ells. Pedroia 2nd and Ortiz 3rd. How it used to be. Try it for a game and see how it goes. Or insert Nava 2nd and keep the rest how they are. If he plays. Funny how a .300 hitter isn't a regular. Just win dammit!!!!! If the Sox go to the WS  there will be more discussions regarding Ortiz and Napoli.

Dropped? Heck everyone on team should be dropped.... Very poor offense. Tiger do have great pitching but a couple of hits here and there would not be asking to much.Next year before dishing out millions of dollars please asked if player can bunt. We seen iggy bunt with ball up around his shoulders.  Tired of runner on second no outs and can't score.

If he and Ellsbury get on base together 1st and 2nd they need to double steal, if 1st and 3rd Shane needs to steal second, perhaps will not draw a throw or a wild throw scores a run.    Even better Ellsbury then steals home.

Just put pressure on them and see how they (Detroit's defense) handles it.

Not yet. Although, the only thing about last night's game that annoyed me was his inability to push runs across two different times with runners at third and one out. Luckily, we got away with it.

Victorino is a huge part of the Red Sox success.  He stays right where he is.   You don't go changing up things now.

With all these guys have poor batting averages so far in the ALCS, it is only a matter of time before the law of averages even out. Guys don't have a 300BA with over 500 plate appearances by luck. Sooner or later Victorino, Papi, etc wil put up a bunch of hits, just hope it is tonight.

I might bat Victorino 9th, but in no way am I sitting him. I agree he has looked very bad these past 5 games.

Nobody talked about sitting him, only moving him down where there might be less pressure on him. I like the idea of Nava batting second because he's hitting around .300 and also draws alot of walks.

i think if we need to change anything in the order its moving bogaerts up. drew should be hitting last no question. and nava or carp should be starting against righties, not gomes. salty will never get anything to hit with gomes hitting behind him. our line up should be:

    ellsbury

    victorino

    pedroia

    ortiz

    napoli

    nava

    bogaerts

    salty

    drew
