If Obama gets re-elected, he will continue his sworn life mission to increase govt. dependency to the point where the dependents ensure that the leftist government remains in power perpetually.  The problem is of course, that more & more people will be sponging off of fewer & fewer productive people, who continually are required to increasingly "pay their fair share". Until they just say the heckl with it, and the govt runs out of, what Maggie Thatcher called "other people's money", and it all collapses.  As it's doing in Europe now.
That's why this election is so important.  It's the last chance to restore the  country to what made us exceptional, and successful, and avoid the pitfalls of European style socialism, which have  NEVER. EVER worked.

    ps
If obama is re-elected,  imagine the mess he'd "inherit" THIS TIME!...

Bobby Zimmerman's dream was a good song.  The above comment is the best comment of the entire political season! It describes the foolish mindset of the modern Democrat Party and should be called "Karl Marx's Utopian Dream".

"Ask not what you can do for your Country, ask what more your Country can do for you and those you say you can't afford to support."

In 2012, I'm voting against revenge and "forward" and I'm voting for the hope and change that sent a chill up the pant legs and pant suits of a little more than half the voting electorate in the national election.

    [/QUOTE]

knowing that you are against obama, reinforces my decision  that obama is the man to vote for.

    thanks for strengthening my resolve.

ps. a person like you, mr softy, shouldn't be throwing the word 'insanity' around too loosely.

The argument of right versus left is as old as politics itself.  This country is pretty evenly split on this.  One thing that is very obvious is that our country is steadily declining in many , if not most , areas.  If you don't see this , you are not very objective and observant.  The question is : What can we do to reverse this before it becomes too late ?  We keep hearing that this is the most important election of our lifetimes.  It seems to me that we hear this every election.  Will the result of this election really make the difference ?  It will certainly make a difference to the politicians who will benefit , but will it really make a difference in the quality of life for us , and the future success of our nation ?   We really need to take stock of all the mistakes that have been made , and continue to be made. There is no reason that we should have to continue our downward slide.  Whoever you support in this election , think about what is wrong here , and where we have gone astray , and what we need to do to get back on track.

The first thing that should alarm people is that Romney will not win Massachusetts, the state he governed for 4 years! It got so bad for him that at the end of his term he did not run for re-election because of the crappy job he did.

Common belief is that Romney just wants to win the election, and then nothing happens thereafter. All the promises you are hearing now, will be feathers in the wind when he is elected.

I am not an advocate of Obama, but I live in Massachusetts and remember that he did nothing but introduce Romneycare to the state, that just so happens to be similar to Obamacare..,one of the things Romney plans to abolish...that's FLIP Romney for ya.

Obama care is not the same as Romney care. Obama care is nation wide, where are people going to move if they don't want or like it? Romney advocates for state run health-care and for buying insurance across state lines. There was nothing wrong with our helth-care system, not a damn thing. Obama wanted universal health-care because that's what democrats want. they don't care that the quality of care will suffer tremendously, and that it hasn't worked anywhere else. Adding millions of more people to the health care rolls, without increasing the number of doctors is irresponsible.

    Re:

people divide this country not politicians.  It's a gov't of the people by the people for the people.  They are people who fight for their jobs just like me and you.  Their policy's is  driven by conversation and WE the people drive that conversation, and we get what we deserve every time.

A perfect example of this would be the issue of medicare, which realistically we need to cut if we really seriously want to cut the deficit (either that or drastically increase taxes or cut the military in half)

If you chose to not watch MSNBC and FOx news and actually read into what both candidates want to do with medicare, you see it is basically the SAME and they both cut it, yet they both accuse the other guy of wanting to cut it....confusing I know.  Yet we all chose to listen and believe the narrative we want to (because we cheer for politicians as if they were our sports team)  In the end when one guy tries to reform medicare he will get nothing but opposition even if his plan was identical to what the other guy would try to pass (and then the other side would oppose it)

Yes there are VERY CLEAR distinctions between these two men, but we used to actually talk with one another and get stuff done in this country and we don't do that anymore.  Politicians campaign negatively and we say we are SICK of it, but they do it because they have studies that says it works.....it works because we let it work.

Policy is driven by conversation......and that is a battle we are all losing.

You will NOT get this country back in a day, The progressives will NOT go away if Romney wins, just like the conservatives will not go away if Obama wins again.  In the end we will have to sit at the same table and agree on something otherwise we will all go down with the ship.

If you don't agree with this then you are so one sided and warped that you ARE part of the problem. IMHO

Ron Paul has some good ideas but none of them can realistically be done. Eliminating the FED and going back to the gold standard will never happen. Paul is more a Libertarian and an isolationalist. His views are too extreme for the mainstream of the country. There has to be some government oversight just not so much to strangle free enterprise or infringe on people's liberty. The rule of law is what governs men, not the beaurocrats in DC.

whats wrong with bowing to the mecca? your worship has a lot of dumb sh!t in it too.....

also its irrational to think that a president could force a religion on us.

but "the sky is falling" mentality you have seems to apply to everything. maybe we should BRING UP THE KIDS and let them run the country?
