Hopefully everything hit to RF tonight will be routine and right at Adrian. With Lackey on the mound, I have my doubts that there will be anything routine in his direction given how LH the Phillies lineup is. -

Looks like the Pirates started a trend by throwing high and tight to Pedey. Seems to rattle him. -

With the way most hitters dive towards the plate nowadays, I'm surprised more pitchers don't do it on a routine basis. Straighten the hitter up, get them off the plate and then pitch away.
That always irritated me when we were playing the Yankees and guys like Timlin/Paplebon would pitch Jeter away with the game on the line. Bust him inside and dare him to pull the ball. If you pitch him away, you're doing him a favor. -

Worley has given up only 1 run in his last two starts; both no decisions due to the Phillies lack of hitting. Don't expect a lot of runs from the Sox. Lackey has to match the rookie. -

At least I have a little more faith in tonight's bottom five producing a run or two. The entire lineup was overmatched last night. Very few good AB's versus Lee let alone good swings. -

I'm more worried about Ortiz fielding his position then Agon in right. -

This had a chance of getting ugly quick - thank God for the pitcher's best friend (double play). Disappointed in our first inning - nothing hit hard, pitch count stayed low. Oh well, it's early - GO SOX! -

Jeez, is there a worse pitcher in baseball. Lackey got out of the first with a timely double play, but he ain't fooling anybody. Ibanez, who's struggling, gets a first pitch cookie. And it looks like we'll be lucky to get a couple of hits in a row judging by the first two innings. Long way to go, but Lackey's looking too much like Lacey - and that doesn't bode well for tonight.
