Didn't see that, but that sounds nice. Nobody ever said he wasn't busting his butt to get better.

After it's all over this year, I think it may come out that he's been having trouble with that elbow Dg.

Nah, I think he'll be fine--Crawford that is. We may see flashes of it if the Sox make the PS this year. Beckett filthy tonight. Meanwhile, the Rays stirring the pot. 2 on 1 out.

Beckett looks sharp. The definition of an ace. 62 pitches through five. Is a complete game too much to ask for?

My Dad loved the Red Sox and saw them win the 2004 WS in an assisted living center. He was interviewed during the final game and it was published in the local paper the next day. He was alive for the 2007 WS trophy but wasn't aware of it due to Alzheimers disease. I am sure that he would have trouble understanding the dynamics of a Red Sox forum where 90% of the posters act like they are Yankee fans. What a shame that a Red Sox forum is inundated with trolls and Yankee fans
At least my dad wasn't exposed to the evils of the Internet during his lifetime..

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Wednesday game thread. Sox vs Orioles : It's funny -- whenever the a reliever comes in and get hit after replacing another reliever who went just one inning (strong), I think of my dad. He used to complain, "Why did they take him out when he was pitching well." I always tried to explain that using relievers one inning at a time was how managers used the bullpen (since LaRussa popularized it with the A's). He never liked it. I'm always mixed about it. I understand the philosopy, but geez, it is hard to take seing a reliever come out who's pitching great after just one inning.

the games changed a lot. not sure for the better or not, but it will never go back to what it was....pitching specialists, wild card, instant replay.
