In Response to Re: Wednesday Night Game Thread: Tigers at Red Sox:You just have to take your choice. With Salty , you get the home runs , but not much else. Maybe the home runs are enough. Hard to say.

Poor at bat by Jacoby, but closer game. For a guy that wind sprints in from the bullpen, Coke still looks about 25 pounds over weight. I do not know what he is doing between appearances, but it isn't working out. He better be careful that he does not have a heart attack running that sprint in from the bullpen. -

i agree we should give lavarnway a shot to start, sit salty. He is really overrated and honestly is not that good. Yes he has a good number of homers but other than that he is brutal. he hits for low average, is brutal defensively, and is really not a good all round hitter. Not to mention he stinks with risp. -

I want to see a lot of the young guys now. Surely we must have a SP at Pawtucket who is doing well and who could get a shot at the ML. Some of our guys are the walking dead. This season, IMO, is over anyway. Lets give the kids a chance. Lavarnway is already here; lets see what he can do. -

I agree...time to give Lavarnway a shot at it. Everybody else from Pawtucket has had they day in the sun. -
