I am not a fan of Cook. This " pitching to contact " is not too good. Have to be able to get a strikeout sometimes.  This guy has to be too precise . Just a little off , and he gets hit hard.

and it might have to be for someone currently underperforming, or hwo is expected to be much better than theyve done. top prospects. etc
In Response to Re: Wednesday Night Game Thread: Tigers at Red Sox : Yup - I still the yankees messed up on that trade Jackson, Kennedy and Coke for Granderson Jackson is 300/400 and Curtis remains at 250/333 and I think a 20 game winner and a left handed set up man more than make up for the HR's that CG would bring you.......
    Posted by andrewmitch
Except the number don't validate your opinion.

Jackson hits for slightly better average but that's it.  OBP, SO, rbis, slg, TB, ., ALL favor Granderson.  And, HRs aren't even close.  In terms of the pitchers they gave up, .. the Yankees lost nothing.  Kennedy was never going to be a 20 game winner in the AL East, .. West or likely anywhere but he NL West.  Coke is just another BP plug in.

The last trade the Yankees did that worked out better was giving up Wilson Betemit for Swisher.
