Sox should have got something for Cook when they had a chance. He is just another stiff. A career ham and egger. End of winning streak.  Dump this guy. Dump him now. Mortensen is much better.

Well, our offense looks impudent tonight, so why not let the Tigers T-off?

Heck, a loss is a loss ... one run or twenty.

Bye bye, Cook ... nice knowing you.  Enjoy spot roles in the bullpen.

I said last week that Cook would come back down to earth and turn into who he really is. Now we're short a SP. Should have made a move for one.

I was watching Cook pitch to Cabrera and it was a mismatch that you could see coming. Cook does no possess the umph to put a hitter away. He is definitely more conducive to the National League. Ben should have dumped him off, he is a mismatch in the American League.

Complete mismatch to Cabrera and it was a no brainer to not let him pitch to Prince Fielder. Poor Management on Bobby Valentine's Part. Streak over, Game over.

Yup!  Of course, all yankee fans understand are Home Runs and then of course, fudge the stats to make CG look better than he is.......seriously, right field in da bronx is like left in fenway w/o the 37' wall - it's a joke........

Cook? Lester? Beckett? No shortage of choices, are there. We got one good SP and he is a RP, and we got Doubront. Thats about it this year.....and next year....and the year after that.

Cliff Lee for Crawford + Cash

    Lee, Buck, Lester, Doubrant, Lackey

    would be far better than

    Buck, Doubrant, Lester, Beckett, Cook

I agree completely, a cheap alternative, good against National League Teams, Completely out of his element against American League Teams. Good teams use him like batting practice.

Re: Wednesday Night Game Thread: Tigers at Red Sox

Cook starts out well, so might be useful in the pen when you need a dp; when he's getting it up in the 4th, you should have a guy ready, no way you get all the way to back to back homers, he shoulda been relieved before getting to that point.
