Re: What Better Move for this Team and a Nice Start Than to give S. Drew the Starting SS

Funny thing is you act like you see everything coming and know exactly how it's all going to play out yet the Dodgers trade, likely the biggest move of the last five seasons, shocked and floored you.

You don't know what's gonna happen. Hey I don't like the shortstop approach of the Sox either but Drew could slip on a banana peel and then Iggy is back in.

You may want to take a deep breath and see how it plays out. The reason we are 5-2 is largely due to great starting pitching and bullpen work. your guys Bradley and Iggy didn't have a lot to do with it.

You seem to think young players are exciting. True. You know what's more exciting? Winning. If the team continues to win it's going to be hard to pull off your unique brand of belly aching...

I'm so glad someone finally made a thread about Drew vs. Iglesias. I don't know why this issue is not receiving the attention it deserves.

Have you figured out the difference between sarcasm and satire yet?

    In response to softlaw2's comment:

And demoting Iggy and/or Bradley to AAA should really make this team take off and sustain the early excitement.

Re: What Better Move for this Team and a Nice Start Than to give S. Drew the Starting SS

Come back to us after Drew spends a month or so approximating his pre-injury career numbers and talk.

It's just possible he uses his lefty swing to tattoo the wall inside-out like Boggs did, mashing doubles and even triples in large amounts. Maybe even knocks a few out of the park in Yankee stadium. Obviously his defense won't be as seamless as Iglesias but his increased offense might just make it all a moot point.

But of course then you'd actually have to either admit being wrong about something or perhaps even find something to be positive and upbeat about.

It is what it is, management made the move and we'll have to live with it. Iggy gets to play every day , practice his bunting / infield hits / strike zone recognition where failure doesn't hurt the big club.

And Drew either fails, in which case we can trade / dfa him post-June 15th OR hits and plays well. Latter case then leads to two very nice options for Ben C.
