Papi figures. It's his normal M.O.
AGONE needs to step it up. He's 150 points off his first half (1.006/.856 OPS).
    Jake continues to flourish (.867/.938).
Nice to see Salty moving in the right direction.

    Pedey rakes!!!

Yeah. There was one the other day. Joe informed him of Mac's OPS recently.
    That shut him up.

I'd say Ellsbury has been the MVP of the second half so far.

Another player worth mentioning is Jed Lowrie, he is by no means the best second half hitter, but he has been swinging the bat good as of lately.

Should we add Tek to this list?

Re: Who are the Sox best second half hitters this year?

Papi may have the higher OPS but Ellsbury seems to have more clutch hits.

Surprising, I know, since Papi has the cred for being Mr. Clutch.

Even more surprising that Ellsbury should show so much power - last night's home run being a prime example.  He never showed this prowess in the minors.

Could it be that Dave Magadan, whom I have malighned many times in the past (though not yet this seeason) could have had a hand in this?

    But I digress.

    I would say Ellsbury.

Ellsbury has had some huge hits, but huis overall "clutch" numbers don't add up.

    Why, haven't you heard, Summah?
AGONE is responsible for Jake's season.
Did Jake ever have a year like this before?
    This according to Softone.

Me? I say Aceves is the reason.
Did Jake evah have this kind of year before Aceves joined the team???

Definitely Aceves. Foot in mouth   Why, I'm 43% sure!
