Who is Greg Colbrunn and what is his job?

The real question is how long does he keep his job, because the results are dismal.

Well, the Red Sox have led the league in scoring every year since he's been here.

Because of his presence, or in spite of his presence???

It's one thing for a batting coach to work with a veteran lineup of major league hitters, i.e. Pedroia, Ortiz, Drew, Napoli, etc. in 2013, it's quite another to 'coach up' first-and-second year players, i.e. Bradley Jr., Middlebrooks, Bogaerts, etc.

I'm having a bit of difficulty in accepting that the Sox lineup is as weak-hitting as they have thus far shown.  Something is definitely just not right.

When a team's pitching staff as a whole, just tanks, one might be justified in asking what role the pitching coach has in their dismal performance.  I think the same should be considered when a team's offense collapses.
