Always, Carnie......... I LOVED the trade also. Keep the "ballplayers" and dump the trash. We have lots of talent coming up. Don't care WHAT the naysayers say

Of course we are still Sox fans.  I still plan on going to the games on Labor Day and the Wednesday night game when they are here.  Still need to get my tickets.  As I did earlier this year when the Sox were in town wearing my Youkilis jersey shortly after he was traded, I will wear my Gonzalez shirt this time around.

Is there anything else to be?

I've seen them win two world series in the last 8 years, after decades of frustration.

They will be a force to be reckoned with again soon. I'm going to see them in Baltimore in a few weeks.

Absolutely. They brought me back in this season(I admit I faded with all the crap going on) with this trade. I can't wait to see how they restructure this ball club now. Hopefully with players that want to play in Boston.

I'm in as a Sox afn.  Mixed emotions about the trade, but impressed Cherington had the guts to make his mark early in his tenure...

I always was and will continue to be a Sox fan!

And, I think it was a great salary dump.

I hope Gomez gets to play regularly at 1st...

It's tough this year, but hopefully, this move will help restore order.  A couple more guys sent packing and we'll be back on track.  Their initials are Bobby Valentine and John Lackey

Re: Who's still a Red Sox Fan?

I love the Sox even more after the trade.

If we go super cheap over the winter, I won't be happy, but I'm still going to be a huge Sox fan next year and beyond.

(I hope we don't give long term huge deals for Hamilton or Greinke, but I'd still rather have those two for $260M than the other 3 combined.)

    Long names.

Nice intro to bring them in.  I like it.  Might I also suggest "They rhyme with Bobby Valentine and John Lackey"?
