    WHY ARE CAM AND D-MAC STILL ON THIS TEAM?

    Neither of these guys are doing anything.  Cameron's contract is just as bad as Lugo's except it was for less years but Sox have gotten nothing from him.  D-Mac is useless.  The only thing he has done this year is contribute to some losses with poor baserunning.  Cameron getting picked off yesterday down five was the icing on the cake.  I'd rather have Reddick or Sutton hitting against LHP than these two bums.

    A totally agree....wasted Roster spaces.....Reddick is a given.....after that I would rather bring up another AAA guy....Nava(at least he is a switch hitter, which gives you flexibility) and he did hit .242 with 26 rbis in 160 AB's last year....clearly not a long term answer, but we it would be nice to have possible production on the bench.....even Lin may be a better option....supposedly the best defender in the system and great speed.

    Cameron:  I'm still hopeful that his groin injury will flare up again.

    D'Mac:  He did a decent job for us last year.  It would be far better to give him the wasted time we are spending on Cameron?  Nice guy, but cameron is DONE!

    Ignoring the 40 man roster implications of bring up Nava for a second, why not utilize someone who hit .270/.336/.429 with 9 SB's and 9 HR's in 363 AB's in 2010 with better defense instead of Nava and his line?  By the way, that player is McDonald he needs more playing time than what he's getting if you want him to perform.

    Also, Lin is on the DL, so he's not an option at this point.

    Cameron has been a seldom used bench guy, all year. Very hard to hit for OPS when sitting most of the time. He recently had a big hit and RBI against CC and the Yankees, and had the 2 homers in one game highlight. He's almost as old as Wastefield, but gets all the abuse.

    A better question is why is Wastefield still on this team?

    I didn't realize that a starter qualifies to be the best starter based upon part-time role as a starter. The best hitter only has a few plate appearances.
