BTW sublaxation(sp) can be worse than a dislocation. Reinjury can be an issue more so than dislocation. Since dislocation many times includes surgery to fix the tears and other thing that happen.
IMHO he will be back when it is right and not before.

It takes zero games to get back from a dislocated shoulder, if there is no structural damage.

Of course he will.  I know you've had a lot of fun trying to use the 1 injury sample to claim Ellsbury is some sort of wimp, even though you know absolutely nothing about the details of why it took so long for him to come back from that 1 injury, but everyone else knows you're full of it.

Sadly to say, Ellsbury has turned out to be injury prone and it indicates to me that his remaining career could very well be ridden with injury.  Watching him seems to possibly indicate he plays too aggressive both in the field and on the base paths.

Re: Will Ellsbury Play for the Sox in 2012 or 2013?

No.  He's going back to Oregon with whatever he has already saved and start a cattle ranch.  Why?  Because he finally got a chance to read this board--and especially hankwilliamsjr--and realized that, last year notwithstanding, he has no arm, no power, no ability to find the best route to fly balls, no willingness to run into walls to make a catch, no real ability to hit line drives, and some other things.

Here's the funny thing about hankwilliamsjr.  He has spent literally years telling us how terrible a player Ellsbury is--certainly in softy's judgment nowhere near as good as J.D. Drew, softy's personal favorite whom the Sox paid $85M over 5 years.  So why in the wide, wide world of sports should hanky-panky be so concerned about whether Ellsbury plays?  I would think hank would be celebrating each and every day that Ellsbury's substandard play is not being inflicted upon the Boston Red Sox team.

One serious note.  Rare is the MLB player who doesn't want to play.  And, in the case of Jacoby Ellsbury, he is a player who must continue to demonstrate his value if he wants to get that big long-term contract.  Being on the DL does not help him, to say nothing of the fact that he is a very good player who loves playing the game of baseball and getting paid for it.

Wonder how Softy feels about his top tier RH OFer, Matt Kemp, who according to many is the best player in MLB, being on the DL with a hammy?? Softy, is Kemp a wimp? How would you be pontificating about Kemp if we had somehow in fantasy land obtained him? Sir, with zero respect, you are without question the biggest Troll in the history of the internet. Congratulations, I know that comment makes you smile.

First of all if there was no structural damage he would still be (anyone would be) out for at least 5 days.

Second of all you have no reason or proof to believe no structural damage exists.  I'm starting to think you don't like Jacoby Ellsbury as a person

Re: Will Ellsbury Play for the Sox in 2012 or 2013?

nowhere near as good as J.D. Drew

Take a look at the career production of Drew, a player you bandwagoned road or watched the bigoted term "a Nancy". Drew is Cal Ripken, compared to boo-boo Ellsbury.

Is Drew more talented and better than Ellsbury will ever be? Well, the numbers say that Drew's career OBP is .384 and his OPS is .873. As for OF ability, Drew actually didn't have "the nancy" arm that Ellsbury has, and actually had good depth perception and a graceful stride that made tough catches look easy.
