Another dumbo Farrell move leaving Lackey in too long and it bites us.

Not farrell's fault.  Breslow stunk and bad throws

Need another miracle here.  Possible, but improbable.

After all the great innings agasint the Rays and Tigers, Breslow just had a braint frat.  I would have thought Yale graduates are smarter than that.

Told you nothing is automatic in life.  Saltalamachia is not a great defensive catcher and Breslow should have held the ball. The Cardinals knew to steal on him and Farrell left Lackey in too long, plus he shook off Saltalamachia on a pitch and threw a fastball.  Poor play all the way around there.

You guys still want Gomes in LF? He's a good luck charm all right. Awful arm and 0 for 7.

what happens when they lose? nava guns him down there I bet.

What are the odds the Sox score 3? At a minimum?

This turned quick.  Lackey was sailing along and then he nibbles with Freese who isn't hitting a lick and walks him.  Its his own fault with a lot help from Breslow.  I can't imagine what Buck and Tim are saying. Luckily, my mute button is on.

Or Salty had no chance at the plate, he should have made sure he caught that ball clean first.

That was great effort by Lackey blown to waste by that throw to 3rd by Breslow.

It was pretty clear both starters were losing steam from their velocity dropping.  Both should have been pulled about 2 batters sooner, and it cost the Sox more than the Cards.

Farrell pulled a Grady Little there, hope the result turns out different this time.

Cardinals knew to steal on Saltalamachia. He is not great defensively and it shows at times. The Cardinals did their homework on him.

If breslow pitched as he usually does everyone would be saying that lackey had a great outing.  I don't blame lackey or farrell, this is all on breslow.
