There's no way to know if the obsturction play didn't end the game, who would won. We didn't burn our bullpen and more likely than not, will need it with Buch pitching. Rosenthal isn't available tonight. Cards number 4 against our number one, for a good part of the season. The obstruction call may wake and fire up the team. Win tonight, back to square one and Fenway.

I hope so JBay, I really hope so, because Farrell looks like an amateur as a manager at this point. I do not have a warm and fuzzy feeling with Bucholtz and his shoulder issues that have shown up again. I missed the interview with Matheny last night, too upset although I sawthe one with Farrell.

If they do not win tonight, they are in serious trouble and will not make it back to Boston unfortunately.

Matheny says Craig can play. "Ready to go." Kind of a surprise.

Mike Napoli said he felt OK taking grounders at third base, but had no idea whether he would see action at third in a game.

    Weei:

"Red Sox bench coach Torey Lovullo, in an interview on WEEI, suggested that the Sox believe that Clay Buchholz is “ready to go” and give the team a full workload for Game 4 of the World Series.

“We anticipate Clay giving us 100 pitches and seven innings,” said Lovullo.

Well here's your choices in the SOX line-up: NAPS and Bogie, Drew and Bogie, or Middlebrooks and Bogie. Pick your poison.

I'd go with NAPS and Bogie.

    [/QUOTE]

As much as I would love to get both Drew and Middlebrooks out of the lineup, putting Napoli in at 3B for the first time in his career in a game like this is insane. And its not going to happen. Meanwhile, Day to Day Clay is curled up, catatonic, in a fetal position somewhere now that he knows Farrell is going to MAKE him pitch when he is not 110%. Lets see what he is made of.

Why not have Drew PH for Buch in the 5th or 6th and then stay in the rest of the game for defense?

Napoli could subsequently PH for Middlebrooks
