How important was that to bring Naps to 1B for Papi.  Don't know if Papi would have picked off Wong like Naps did.

Great point. Either way, bringing NAPS in was the right move.

Papi is much more deliberate at first. He's not nearly as quick as napoli which is understandable,  but Ortiz would have never been able to catch and sweep as quickly and naturally as naps.

Buck and McCarver sound like the world ended.

Tough couple of weeks for Josephine; he lost his two girlfriends in Detroit, Verlander and Scherzer. McCarver may have to go back to Cialis.

maybe he can go visit Dgalehouse and his husband!!!

Sorry again. I have been following this post for years but recently wanted to chime in and I feel that the regulars on this post do not like newcomers and therefore talk down about them. Sorry

He'll be referring to me. Because god forbid the idea of steroids and these ungodly Cardinals rookies who look like CY Young every time they throw the ball is even spoken of! It's all natural! Without understanding how rare it is to find a guy who throws 98-99 with accuracy And movement. And to have 5 or so rookies all doing the same? It's like hitting the lottery 5 or more times in one year.  And that, just plain old isn't happening. And he won't accept that. So sorry on my end.

    Best pitching coach ever?

You are getting carried away with that idea. There is no basis for it, except for the velocity. Plenty of young pitchers throw that hard, including some in the Sox organization. Even Tazawa was hitting 96. There is no reason to suspect the Card's pitchers. They are tested, like everyone else.

I wish my man. I really do. Taz even had TJ surgery and sometimes you come back bit stronger. The key for me, was Kelly hitting 97 in the 6th at 85 pitches. After consistently hitting 96-97 all game. That's unrealistic. And you said in the organization. Not on a World Series roster like these guys. They may never see the light of day as well.
