    Peter Gammons

The last time the Red Sox clinched a world series at home was Sept. 11, 1918. Babe Ruth was used as a defensive replacement in left field

Exiting season, and series for Sox so far.

Not expected to finish in top 3 or 4 in the division, a bridge year to something in the future, and they win most games in regular season.

In spite of #1 rank in AL post season, they are supposed to crumble to mighty pitching by Tampa or Detroit, and they in the AL pennant.

Supposed to lose twice to Waino and Wacha, and lose the series, and they win at least the two agasint Waino.

Their best chance to win the series is in game 6.  Game 7 can make for a stronger Cards momentum, tipping the game a bit closer to the Cards than game 6.

Interesting how some posters on this board crtiticize Farrell's moves (and Tito's in the past), and same thing is happening with Cards fans critisizing Matheny in their boards.

So Matheny didn't ask Wainright to walk Papi in 1st inning yesterday, that resulted in the first run.

They have 2 pitchers on their PS roster who has not pitched at all, and left out some hitters from the roster.

    And more piling.

Hate to be a losing manager, not only have to endure the loss, but all these doubting Thomas benefitting from hind sight without understanding the details of the games and players.

[/QUOTE]not that this should even be entertained.....

What does Yadier Molina's neck tattoo's mean?     In: St. Louis Cardinals, Tattoos and Body Art [ Edit categories]   Answer:   The one on the left side is a tribal Y and M kind of like the Tiger Woods symbol but it means Yadier Molina. The one on the right side are musical notes. The notes seem to be, in order from left to right: D5, D5, D4, E4, F4. The furthest to the left are harder to read because they are smaller, so I may be wrong on what they actually are. When I played them, they sounded like nothing... just random notes. It's rumored to have something to do with Reggatone.
