Actually, the way that Jon Lester has pitched, there is a doubt. But...don't want to get caught up in who is MVP talk now. The Cards are a tough, resilient team. Let's finish them off first.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves.  We still need to win one more game; the Cards are a very good team and more than capable of coming to Boston and winning two games.

totally overconfident post. How about waiting till we put away a very good Cardinals team with a very good game 6 starter?

Also, Lester will cut into Papi's MVP votes, especially if Lester has to come in game 7 in a relief role.

Let's see how it goes, almost there - but not yet.

Let's see them win before the MVP debate rages.  I would hate to see a name like Holliday or Molina enter the conversation...

If Sox wins the series, I see Lester and Papi named co-MVP of the WS.

    I've three in a very non-traditional way.

    Hitting: Papi by a mile.

Pitching: Lester with Uehara a close 2nd.

    Big D: Drew at SS.

    Just my thoughts, Hetch

So nice to be talking about this. I can remember months ago people knocking Cherington for hiring Farrell, signing Victorino, Napoli and Drew. I could remember others saying it was a waste of money resigning Ortiz. Just think, 1 game away from the Red Sox winning a 3rd WS title and the first since 1918. For all of us that are long time Red Sox fans we should cherish the moments. Not worried about next season because this isn't over yet. After last season's debacle, how many of us expected to see the Red Sox playing baseball possibly till Halloween, I hope it ends tomorrow night.

[/QUOTE]hi mex..definitely true, but it will surely take a pair of A' games by them...backs to the wall, a bananas Fenway crowd, and a relentless opponent...not counting them out, they are good..just a tall order..
