The Yankees have nine lives. No fork in them yet. The schedule is all set up in their favor. Texas has a series with the Rays starting tonight. Cleveland has a series with K.C. starting tonight. Those contenders knock each other off. The Yankees play their cousins in Toronto. The Yankees finish up the year with three games against the worst team in baseball.   There is every reason to think that they will get a wild card. All they have to do is beat the weak sisters on their remaining schedule. After that , it is a new season. Anything can happen.

You're right, galehouse, they still have a shot.

     Bump

Injuries anew to the geriatrics, and a crisp Pitching staff. I believe the Original Mets would have been more competitive this weekend.

Too many injuries to the Yankees this year.  Kuroda looks like he is burnt out.  Even if the Yankees played in the wild card game, they do not have a top starter to face a Darvish, Price or Masterson.

So I think the Yankees are done this year.

Cheer up New Yorkers--at least the Knicks and Nets will be good this year.  Cool

I think the yanks are done for this year.  Pinstripes are the only reason some of you think they have a chance but I think they are the walking wounded and don't stand a chance.

No worries guy, there is alway next year Wink

I can't wait to see the Ca$hman trade for another guy just so he has a shot at getting into that one game playoff.

Maybe he'll trade for Melky Cabrera and Jason Giambi.

     LOL

Or maybe he'll give Rodriguez the biggest contract in sports history and keep resigning PEDitte?

I tell you, it's amazing when you contrast what the Giants did last year refusing to play The Milk Man to how desperate and pathetic the yankees are to put ARoids back in the line up.

    BINGO

Remember, it goes from the top down and George Steinbrenner was a convicted felon (17 counts) who was banned from baseball for life not once but twice and who hired the mob to chase one of his own players out of town.  Nuff said there......
