So that somehow makes Lavarnway projected as a better hitter than Montero today how?

    Yeah I thought so.

Yeah just throw the rankings out and say Lavarnway is better based on your wishing and hoping!

As far as I know Lavarnway isn't Posada or Piazza just yet is he?  As of now Montero is projected to be the better hitter........according to these guys Gary Sanchez is projected to be better than Lavarnway.  Send me a post when Lavarnway becomes Piazza or Posada....thanks Tommy!

Much of the forum is in regard to Lavarnway.  He has the potential to be a nice player but the have this inferiority complex with him in regard to Montero who is no longer a Yankee.

There is an issue with it on the forum J.

I am bummed about Duke too, I always root for them unless they are playing Syracuse or UConn.

Yankee fans on the forum are still supporting Montero and he's not even in pinstripes any longer. theres something about the kids you draft, like they're one of your own....more protective.

Think Syracuse will be an upset also, sooner than later

In this case I'm just stating what the general consensus of MLB scouts have said, the feeling is Montero is a better hitter but now that he is not a Yankee I don't care what he does.  As for the other kids (Banuelos, Betances and Catcher Gary Sanchez) in our system that are ranked ahead of Lavarnway according to this list http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/prospects/watch/y2012/, I hope they all do well.

Since last summer and continuing up until today there are those on the forum that have tried every way to spin it so that the perception is that Lavarnway is seen as the better (hitting) talent over Montero and that is not the view of the majority of scouts.  He is no longer a Yankee so I don't know why it continues to be such a bother to certain Sox fans.  Every team has better prospects and players than others, if Ellsbury can reproduce what he did last year he will be seen as one of the best if not the best centerfielder in baseball and that won't be disputable.   Some fans just need to accept the realities of what is and what isn't, both kids are young let them play it out but as of now for anyone to spin that Lavarnway is going to be more productive at the plate than Montero is nothing more than wishful thinking.  Can he be?  Absolutely, it is just now what most MLB scouts expect to happen.

I also think Syracuse is in trouble without Melo.
