Really?  I sure hope not.  Sliding head first into first is incredibly stupid.  It's amazing that so many major leaguers do it.  Maybe they should be fined every time they do it.

yeah, they said he jammed it. Hopefully it doesnt swell up or is sprained...

    Out 8-10 weeks Im sure.......

If Bradley Jr never gets a hit but puts up the same game everyday I'd love it. 3 hard fought walks, 2 runs. RBI, great D.

    Iglesias batting .600 !

Joel, Game 2 is Wed night...off day tomorrow..

Thanks, jete.  I wonder why they do that.  I think maybe they did it last season, too.

Nice win to start off the season.  Miller was fascinating--two walks then two K's, one of which was Cano on a fastball.  On mlb.com they had a great shot from LF on Bradley's catch--he saw it, turned, and ran with his back to the ball, then turned again to make the catch.  A very confident outfielder.  Good game for Napoli to go hitless.  No dingers, no surprise.

JBJ player of the game while not getting a hit.....that is an impact type player.......Yankees bringing in a Lefty Specialist in Boone Logane to face him with two on and One out, with a RHH on deck in Iglesias shows the respect he is getting depiste being a rookie

Can we please stop with all this legend stuff.....this is his first game so just how is it growing when it doesnt exist?  Everyone was doing the same with Middlebrooks and looked how his legend worked out....

Heard the NYY broadcast today; although I detest Waldman & Stirling; they claimed that JBJ "does not look afraid nor overmatched".He was instrumental in the game, on both sides of the ball. Worked a Walk on a southpaw notorious for being tough on lefties from a 1-2 count (S&W said it was a great PA), followed it up with great speed to 2B (according to S&W), then later made a great play in the OF; all key plays. (Lost reception by the 6th, but heard there was more). A good looking rookie with a meteoric rise, at least so far; and which begs the trivia question: When was the last time a RS Rookie started in YS on opening day? Answer: Tony C, 1964.

The Japanese relief pitcher needed only 5 pitches to finish an inning.  It would have taken Dice-K at least 50 pitches.   LOL

Bradley reminds me a little of Pedroia who was also pretty confident when he came up.
