Re: Yankees Rotation is a DISASTER

In response to slasher9's comment:
Outside of Tanaka and the injured Pineda the Yankees rotation is dismal.
CC: 5.75 / 1.45 whip / avg less than 6ip per start
Kuroda: 5.14 / 1.37 / avg less than 6ip per start
Nova: 8.27 / 1.84 / avg 5ip per start
Nuno: 6.87 / 1.75 / avg less than 5ip per start
Not only are they terrible, they are not eating any innings. As great as the BP has been thus far for the Yankees, they are going to run out of gas very quickly being leaned on so heavily.
Tanaka has been as good as yankees fans can hope at: 2.53 / 0.96 / 7ip. maybe they can have him start every game???
Cold weather always favors pitching. this team is going to have a long summer ahead of it with starting pitching already this putrid.
Sorry, slasher, but pitching, like hitting, and teams for that matter, is streaky. An informed poster would know this.
To wit, during pre-season, the NYY were projected to have a shortage of SP; towards the end of ST, they were considered, at least by those supposedly in the know, to have an abundance. Then with Nova getting TJ, and Pineda out, and Kuroda and Sabathia not doing well, it's back to it being a weakness; all in a matter of a month and a half or so. Ditto the RP, somewhat in reverse, and which in general is considered even more flighty/volatile.
And I suspect adding Nova to the list was a feeble attempt at over-dramatization, or cherry picking.
Of course, I know you're not REALLY uninformed; it's just that it appears your smile-beni-like tendencies often get the best of you.
