You'd think the forum would've had enough of JBJ threads

(to the melody of "Silly Love Songs")

You’d think the forum would’ve had enough of JBJ threads

Look on the burner and you’ll see it isn’t so

Some posters want to spam the board with JBJ threads

    What’s wrong with that?

    I’d like to know.

    Cause here we go, again.

    JBJ, JBJ,

    JBJ, JBJ

Is he gonna start the season?

Or gonna start in triple A?

Will he be up after twelve games?

Or will it matter, will it really matter, will it really matter at all?

    (intrumental)

How can I tell you about our loved one?

How can I tell you about our gloved one?

How can I tell you about the anointed?

How can I tell you about the extra control year?

How can I tell you about spring training?

How can I tell you about...

As Governor, I'd like to impose a cap on daily JBJ threads.  One per day, per poster.

Yes, let's start a General Electric revolution and get a guy who took a lot of drugs and smoked a lot of week to lead that revoltion to fix medicare and make government transparent.

You are losing it Softy. You used to at least be able to spell. I'm starting to suffer from the same affliction.

But at least I'm not way over my daily stupid post quota! Ya gotta cut back man!

Put on the fairport convention albums and kick back under the abandoned tobacco barn and just chill!

    spell check?

A lot of week?  Did you mean weak, as in weak marijuana?  Or is "week" the street name for a smokable drug.

Maybe the drug companies can sponsor it?  Maybe they already do.

That's not really much of compliment, LD.  But thanks anyways.

And now that you've set the bar so low for me, I'll see if I can best the original version of "Let 'Em In".

Driven south to the land of the snow and ice
To a place where nobody's been
Through the snow fog flies on the albatross
Hailed in god's name, hoping good luck it brings.

And the ship sails on, back to the north
Through the fog and ice and the albatross follows on.

The mariner kills the bird of good omen
His shipmates cry against what he's done
But when the fog clears, they justify him
And make themselves a part of the crime.

Sailing on and on and north across the sea
Sailing on and on and north 'til all is calm.

The albatross begins with it's vengeance
A terrible curse a thirst has begun
His shipmates blame bad luck on the mariner
About his neck, the dead bird is hung.

And the curse goes on and on at sea
And the curse goes on and on for them and me

Love Maiden...Steve Harris was the reason I started playing bass guitar. I also heard, not sure if its true, that Stephen Pearcey helped write that....Yeah, I know, crazy...

Harris is my favorite Bassist behind the late, great Cliff Burton. Dude goes nuts on the bass guitar and has pretty much written every single maiden song since jump. One of the greatest artists of all time IMO. While i like rime of the ancient mariner a lot i'd have to say his best work as a songwriter is "Hallowed be thy name". That is one of the most powerful songs i've ever heard.

sometimes, half of me wishes i was born 20 years earlier so i could have seen my favorite bands play in their prime. Then the other half of me looks at all the great technology available to me in this day and age and i get over it :p
