Sox Sweep.

Yanks are crumbling, several starters are not hitting their weight, and the Sox get up for the Yanks.

Sox in first place within 2 weeks.

Do you mean like pedroia, youk and crawford?

And I have to laugh that the Yanks are "crumbling" yet the sawx are 6 back in the loss column tied for last place flailing below .500 yet the Yanks are in first.

Can't see the Yankees winning the pennant this season - too old and big ego's.  Only a matter of time before they lose 15 out of 20.

Sox definitely have the edge in pitching matchups this series.  Yanks as a whole are not hitting nor playing their best ball yet.   I don't think you'll see any stretches where the Yanks lose 15 of 20 though.  I don't know I can see it going either way, probably no sweep if I were to say who gets the 2 out of 3 I'd give the Sox the edge because the pitching matchups favor them.  Obviously I'm hoping and rooting for a different result.

i always hope for all 3, but given the unpredictableness of a Yanks/Sox series, it's hard to say, i think the Sox will win on Fri, the Yanks win Sat and Sun.

pitching matchup makes me want to say Sox will win 2 out of 3.
but gun to my head - NY will win 2 out of 3.....
sidenote:  i cannot believe i just agreed with the babe....i may switch my answer to NY sweep just to not agree with her....

    Posted by mikeyinthebronx
hey Mikey, though i'd certainly like to be surprised by BC and Garcia, to me, the CC game is a must get..against a team like the Sox your ace(well every pitcher actually) should always get the team's A game..plus, despite his scuffles Beckett seems to find it against us...though win lose or draw i always love that different air a Yanks/Sox game brings especially when it's the FOX game...

jete i was thinking the same thing. Josh has been the beckett of old other than his first start in Cleveland, which was in 27 degree weather.  although beckett never makes any excuses, francona said his hand was numb coming from Florida/Texas and had a hard time gripping the ball.

If the players can keep Tito from getting involved the Sox should be fine.

"if the players can keep tito from getting involved."--plinny

well, someone on the team could spike his 'seeds' with some type of sleep inducing drug. i'm not a fan of drug-induced sleep, but in this case i'd make an exception. and if the SOX win, keep spiking the seeds.

    Posted by slomag
tru dat Slo, i just meant in the sense of any season's scuffles prior to a Yanks series, actually his start prior to the 1st Yanks series was a bit rugged...not calling it disasterous or anything, just saying in his Yankee start it all came together for him, i'm comfortable with CC's ERA, both guys know what they're doing out there...
