Hope you are happy Arlen Specter

A year ago Arlen Specter spooked the Pats right before the SB, crying for a congressional investigation, accusing the Pats of cheating their way to the play-offs, and the NFL of a cover-up. And yes I believe it did have an affect on the Pats performance.

This year there is a good chance it could be an all Penn. SB.

If that happens will Sen. Specter appoligize to the Pats and the NFL, admit everything is right in the NFL and he had nothing but envious reasons for his foolish rainting and threats just like all other jealous non-Pat supporters.

Why isn't Arlen Spincter all over the Giants & the Buress crime cover up? He's a sad excuse for a human being. Will he pop up if the Eagles lose next weekend?

    Hillbilliy,

Maybe you haven't nioticed, but NFL games are played on the FIELD, and NOT in the hallowed halls of Congress. Congress has their fools (Kennedy, Specter, Reid, et al), while the NFL has it's share (TO, Burress, et al).

Maybe you haven't noticed, but the Squeelers DESTROYED the Pats in their game. The Eagles have been playing rock solid for the past month or so, highlighted by their dismanteling pof the 'Boys in week #17. Is there any wonder why no one wants to play them in a "one and done" game?

Let Specter continue to be the tool that he is, while TO, et al, do the same. Bottom line is that it doesn't matter who does what outside of what happens on the field. Whoever manages to continue to win will get to, and deserve a Super Bowl berth. Yes, even if both teams happen to play in the Keytstone State. Looking at all teh Super Bowl participants over time should tell you something about how difficult it is to get to teh Game, let alone win it. Even for a Hillbilly.

BTW, Specter didn't cause the Pats to lose the SB. We all look with pride at teh Pats' "Us vs Them" attitude. That was a perfect time to use it. It was a Houdini escape by Eli (could have been called "in the grasp") and a WR catching the ball with his helmet. The real shame is that Samuel dropped a sure INT a few plays before the Miracle In The Desert play, and then stood there and WATCHED the WR come down with the ball on his helmet. Not even a lame effort was made at trying to swipe it away, making a hit before the WR hit the ground, ..... nothing. Now THAT was sad.

The best slap to Specter is the fact that NFL teams are lining up to pay millions of dollars to be the team that hires an under-study of the supposedly under-handed Bill Belichick.

Ha! Nice try you bozo Pats-haters! If Specter was your lead man, you are as transparent as you are a fool.

Have any of you noticed the drug scandal that Specter has conveniently not been apart of, involving a 2 game winner in the World Seres, who just happens to pitch for the world champion Phillies? Where's the big mouth investigating something that could have altered the outcome of the series?

The guy is a joke, the whole country is going down the drain and he wanted to lead an investigation into the "Illegal"use of a camera by the patriots. WOW

Specter used his postion and the threat of a congressional hearing to influence the out come of a game (the Super Bowl).

Many of us know how we are affected by the threat of an IRS audit (guilty or not). We are concerned for days and it occupies our thoughts to the point we lose much of our concentration.

The threat of a hearing before Congress could have had the same affect on the Pats. It did me and I am just a fan with no involvement.
Yes the game is played on the field and inches could determine the outcome, but the overall psych of the team is a much stronger factor.

Specter perfectly timed his Threats. The Pats after being harassed all season finally wore down in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl, lost the game and Specter disappeared from the NFL scene without even an apology.

He the one who should be investigated, for influence peddling.

"In the press conference, Specter also noted that Walsh, while taping signals during a game against the Jets, stood next to a Jets videographer who, to Walsh, also appeared to be taping signals. Walsh later elaborated, saying the Jets cameraman was angling his camera towards the Patriots sidelines, and that Walsh did not question him about his activity because Walsh knew he himself was doing the same thing."

Funny how a little tidbit like this gets leaked out and no fuss is made of it. Specter was informed by Walsh that another team's employee was also involved in the practice of taping signals. At that point, don't you(Specter) have cause for suspecting the practice was conducted league-wide, and was not limited to just the New England Patriots? Duh...

Spectre's Eagles will crash and burn on Sunday...and I'm sure that this blow-hard will find a way to blame the loss on spygate.
