Teddy Ball Game, Yaz,( 2 HOFers) Jim Ed (Future HOFer's.) At least read a book or 2 about the Sox before you make yoursself look totally ignorant about the Sox. Bye is a solid player but not HOF caliber.

Not certain your criteria. If you are saying "greatest LF of all time", nothing against Jason Bay who is a very good all round player, but it would be hard to pick a guy who has only been playing for the Red Sox since August 1, 2008. Admittedly it is hard to evaluate a player without considering his offensive and defensive skills. Carl Yaztremski was the best defensive Red Sox leftfielder in the last 50 seasons. And there have been some very good ones. The criteria I would use is that the player has to have played enough seasons to have proven his skills over a number of season. With Ted Williams as the greatest lefthanded hitter of all time, Manny Ramirez, one of the greatest right handed hitters, it is quite amazing how many good leftfielders (Williams, Yaz, Rice, Greenwell, Ramirez and Bay) the Red Sox have actually had.
