first of all, i firmly believe the sox will finish in 1st in the east and win at least 100 games in '09, whether permitting.
whether the team stays healthy or whether they have a rash of injuries like last year.
the feedback i requested is for what i believe to be the 5 best comedies that are currently on tv. my list in order of greatness is:
1) the office-----where steve carrell channels george w. in his portrayal
of michael scott, manager of dunder-mifflin.
2) flight of the conchord--never knew new zealanders were that funny.
3) big bang theory--the future of america is in their hands
4) curb your enthusiasm--larry david raises the bar from his days with
seinfeld, and creates something that is truly
funny.
5) eastbound and down--new on hbo and his-steroidly funny.
many will say that this isn't an appropriate place to deal with comedy, but
c'mon, have you been reading most of the posts here? -

let's start getting nasty. if you don't like a show that's been listed, let it out!
i can not stand "30 rock", mainly because of tina (sarah palin) fey.
she reminds me of the female version of pauly shore. the funniest thing about her is that people actually thinks she's funny. kind of like ellen
degenerese.
however, i do like jon stewart, but i think bill maher is much funnier and smarter.
i know nothing of 'the soup.' -

it's time for homer to die. that show has run it's course and a nice run it was. it was fun watching stupid people with no talent make fools of themselves animatedly for over 20 years. anyways, we don't need "the simpsons" anymore for that; we now have "american idol", "dancing with the has-beens" , 'survivor," and ad nauseum. the only differences are they're not animated and they're not even funny. -

I don't watch it alot, but this could be the funniest sitcom ever! Charlie Sheen is a scream and the writing talent top notch. Great pick. I also love Curb Your Enthusium+Entourage. -

Disagree on Tina Fey and 30Rock. Smart, funny and spot on in its take on the entertainment world. And Alec Baldwin was an excellent choice for the role.
How I Met, Big Bang, Office, 2 1/2 always consistently funny.
Recent script for How I Met was incredibly well done, very layered and lots of angles for humor and character comedy (as opposed to situational comedy). -

HBO knows what they are doing. Entourage is a riot. Go back and watch the first two seasons. TV does not get much better! -
