He will be back at Fenway this year as a member of the A's. What's his reception going to be like? I say applause. -

I think I'd applaud. He was kind of a d-bag when he left, but enough time has passed where I am able to look back and respect how much he did for the Sox. Plus that trade won us the World Series! hah -

Sorry folks but I just can't bring myself to applaud Nomar. He did some great things with/for the Sox while he was here, but the unfortunate way he left Boston was, in my opinion, largely his fault. He turned down a $60 million, 4 year offer from the Sox. When the market for him collapsed, he was SOL. Then he and his agent, Tellum I believe, tried to make the Sox out to be the villains. That series against the Yankees in NY where he wouldn't/couldn't play - disgraceful. It really highlighted the difference in ability between Jeter and Nomar. I'm not going to scream obscenities at Nomar, but neither am I going to go out of my way to show respect for a person who left Boston with no class.

Of course you cheer for Nomar. It would take a small mean spirited person to do otherwise. -

He did play at bargain rate for the Sox, compared to Jeter and A-Roid. That enabled the team to sign Manny,Damon and keep Pedro.
