It seems everyone is looking for safe, economical ways to expand their social network, make friends, and have a good time. Yet Fraternal Organizations ( Moose, Elks, Lions, Eagles, Masons, etc. ) are all losing membership, fast, even though they have always provided all that and done charitable work besides. Have you considered joining one?  I would especially like to hear from those who decided against it, or joined and dropped out.
