The Center for Asian Martial Arts will be conducting a self-defense workshop to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  The self-defense workshop will consist of self-defense theory, techniques, and awareness skills.  Techniques covered will include self-defense verse a punch, double punch, kick, and multiple grabs.  The seminar will teach movements for all ability levels in a safe, controlled environment for adults, 16 years and older.  The seminar will take place on Thursday, September 24th from 8:00pm to 9:15pm at 77 Spring Street, West Roxbury, in the Shaw’s Supermarket Plaza (next to the City of Boston Credit Union). This fundraiser will benefit a very worthy cause in children’s cancer research, as follows:“St. Jude is a place where many doctors send some of their sickest patients and toughest cases. A place where cutting-edge research and revolutionary discoveries happen every day. We've built America's second-largest health-care charity so the science never stops.  All patients accepted for treatment at St. Jude are treated without regard to the family's ability to pay.”  ~ Passage taken from  www.stjude.org The Center for Asian Martial Arts teaches eight martial arts six days per week to adults and children.  The school is dedicated to helping students reach their goals, both mentally and physically.  Those interested in learning more can visit our website at http://centerforasianmartialarts.com/roslindale/ or call (617) 327-5100 to speak to an Instructor directly. The Center for Asian Martial Arts suggests a donation of $25 for St. Jude’s Hospital and invites and encourages all individuals to attend.  Those interested in signing up for the self-defense seminar may preregister with us at (617) 327-5100 or via email at WRschool@gmail.com.  All participants will receive a two-week gift certificate to the School.
