Strangest, best, or most interesting flea market finds?

Our intrepid photographer Erik Jacobs set up his portable photo booth at the monthly MIT Flea market to snap shots of the buyers and sellers and ask about their wares.

We want to know: What's the strangest, best, or most interesting item you've seen at a flea market? Did you buy it? Why or why not?

Re: Strangest, best, or most interesting flea market finds?

Many interesting finds, I try to avoid the many common finds, dishes, cups, etc.

2 weeks ago I bought a very used Sex Pistols T shirt for $5, and just sold it on ebay for $205.50. to someone in Japan.

paid $30 for a big Box of old unused paper ads and flyers from the hey days of Las Vegas, early 60's advertising Elvis coming soon, the Rat Pack etc. old timers, rest menus etc. very interesting stuff. 200 pcs.

I hate record collectors at flea mkts who bring magnifying glasses to check for scratches,,then want to pay $1 for an album.
I buy them for $1 just for the covers, the music probably has been reproduced a million times on better formats if i wanted to buy them to listen to the music.

try not to buy anything you cant carry, fit in you pocket or carry in a bag.
