    the basement

    in our household, we always said "down cellah" for in the basement.  Where is dad?  my mom would ask:  "down cellah" could be my reply, without thinking for an instant that this was strange.  40 years later, though I don't live in Boston, I still say it.  Hope I never lose it either.  It marks me as a true New Englander.

    I thought you were talking about this forum. It kinda looks like the basement of the Boston.com forums.
