The weather phenomenon known as "Raw". Only in Boston does a learned Meteorologist refer to a 45-55 degree day with light rain as "Raw".

Back when I was young, we said "going down the cape" and we never, never, ordered a grinder. It was always a sub or sub sandwich. Rhode Islanders eat grinders .... with banana pickles which they put on everything...
BTW a frappe is more than a milk shake with a scoop of ice cream it is several scoops of ice cream blended with milk and syrup (chocolate hopefully). -

"Hook a Right and Bang a Left"(directions for drivers), "The Gahden"(where the B's and Celts play).
Fried Clams (expect them with bellies...is there any other kind?). Steamahs (clams that are not fried just steamed...peel the neck, wash ém and dip ém in buttah, enjoy!).
Last thought...if you need a bib and a nut cracker to eat lobstah GO HOME...you don't have a clue! -

I am pretty sure we used to refer to the toilet as the hopper (pronounced "hoppa"), as in, "he can't talk now, he's onna hoppa!" -

Never heard "grinder" used here. It's always "sub." Maybe it's a neighborhood thing. Grinder is a common term in Connecticut. -
