Best Buffalo wings in New England?

One of the best places by far in New England is The Old Forge in Western Mass. I am stunned Sunset is on there. I cannot say its the best because I haven't eaten at most of these places but, they are the greatest Wings I have ever had. And I have had a lot of wings in my time, if you know what I mean.

Check out Sparky's in downtown Haverhill, MA. Great variety of wings. Downsides are no beer license and sometimes they take too long.

DJ's Family Sports Pub in Hyannis, hands down. On 28 at Willow Street.

    Best homemade blue cheese.

    Lots o' sauces.

Fried crispy--no soft and gooey skin--like they're supposed to be.

Individual LCD TVs at every table. COLD draft.

    Need I say more?

(Oh, yeah--a good place to take kids as well)

You got No. 1 right, so I'll cut you some slack, but you have to drop the take out snobbery and put WingIt in. Definitely better than the nearby Sunset which you have way up your list. Also, I've never had Wings over Amherst, but every UMass alum I know raves about it, including some very trustworthy eaters.

Best Buffalo wings in New England?

I moved here from North Buffalo 12 years ago, and have yet to find a single establishment that does quality wings Buffalo-style. Admittedly I haven't been to many of the places that are on that list, but I do wonder what Sunset is doing there, they don't make very good wings.

Don't get me wrong, there are great places to get wings here -- Boston can be proud of the Harp's version of "Buffalo" wings (in my mind, they're still just chicken wings), and the Wings Over franchise does a great job too, but I think the style -- unbreaded, dry, crispy, and exceedingly spicy with a cayenne and butter based sauce, and real Blue Cheese on the side (not the pureed nonsense cut with mayo) -- just doesn't mesh with blue-blooded New England tastes.

Woody's on Hemenway Street has absolutely the best wings anywhere! And for the record, the wings at Chicken Bone are barely edible - they must be paying the Globe a bundle to be even considered on this list.

I've said it before on this site and I'll say it again. The Cajun Wings at Riverworks in Newmarket, NH are ridiculously good. Not technically buffalo wings but close enough for government work. Plus, the rest of the food is great too. Hmmmmmm, I think I know what I'm having for dinner.
