How did Crescent Ridge in Sharon, MA not make the list? It's got the most delicious ice cream in New England and absolutely nothing compares to their Black Bear flavor! -

Benson's in West Boxford. Fresh fruit ice cream flavors when it's locally available--strawberry, blueberry, peach--are wonderful! -

Can't believe Ron's 20th Century Bowling in Cleary Square, Hyde Park never makes any local list. It was ranked 3rd in the world by some well known magazine (I want to say National Geographic). I guess I'm glad for this because it keeps the crowds away. -

I was looking for someone to add The Ice Cream Smith. Overpriced, but almost worth it. Chocolate chip is the best. -

In Response to Re: New England's best ice cream?:The absolute BEST homemade (from scratch) ice cream is at Spruce Pond Creamery in Franklin, MA, right off Route 495 at King Street. Don't miss their fabulous flatbread pizza while you're there...... Anyone out there over the age of 55 remember Webster's Ice Cream in Stoughton center? My Dad would take us for a Sunday drive back in the '50s and early '60s and we'd often end up having ice cream at Webster's. It was a real old fashioned ice cream parlor, and the ice cream was unbelievable....the orange sherbert was far superior to ANYthing you can find today.

Bensons in Boxford, hands down. Its been a Bostons Best multiple times and the seasonal fruit flavors are the bomb. Leaving it off the list is an absolute shame. One of the best places you will ever visit, I promise. -

Downriver Ice Cream on the Great Marsh in Essex. Great location near Crane Beach and plenty of Adirondack chairs to watch the view, birds and gardens. All home made, all natural, and great flavors. You can see the owners make the ice cream right in front of you. -
