JetBlue Fare Refund
posted at 12/17/2009 1:25 PM ESTMy grandmother has lung cancer, she has taken a quick turn for the worst and is not expected to live through the end of the year. Earlier this year she purchased a RT ticket on JetBlue from Boston to Florida (PBI) for a family wedding in January -- which she obviously will not be able to attend. I called JetBlue to have her ticket refunded and find out what documentation we would need to provide for them. I was told that we could cancel the ticket, for at $100 fee and take the balance in a credit; of if she did die before the travel date we could call back and ask again for them to reconsider a refund. I was speaking to a supervisor and asked to speak with her management was told that they are "internal management and do not speak to customers". Any advice?
