Should the Endicott Estate be privatized to save the town $400K in yearly maintenance fees?

The Endicott Estate is a landmark in Dedham that more than 80 community groups use during the year. Maintaining the property costs the town $400,000. Town officials are looking to privatize the estate so that the money can go back into the town budget to be redistributed to other programs. Do you agree with this plan? Why or why not? No, it might even be illegal. Private groups managing town owned property must, is some cases not have their own books. Moneys must go through the towns books. -

They already rent it out to businesses, and for a hefty price. Someone should go over the books and find out why the place is losing money.
